At Usher 2020, we want to make sure that never happens!
Usher Syndrome slowly robs the sight of those who are already deaf.
Every day, people all over the world are slowly losing their sight due to a rare genetic disorder called Usher Syndrome. The real tragedy is that these same people already lost their hearing and struggle with maintaining their balance.
At Usher 2020, we are working every day to make sure this doesn’t happen. By funding researchers who are specifically looking for treatments to slow, stop or reverse the degeneration of sight caused by Usher Syndrome, we are only a few years away from seeing treatments put into the eyes of those who are going blind.
